Saturday - a very busy day

Lovely fine morning as I arrived up at Oamaru
The wooden frame of the old barn is down
Jim walked the dogs up to Trebarvah
They followed the tracks of the dumper truck down the field
Still some nice waves

and down the hill to home
Managed to mow the very wet lawn
and all ready for the next visitors

Nik Boyle from The Victoria gave me a scoop today - growing in a secret spot in the village are these little Wild Strawberries
Well spotted Nik
Off we went for our walk
Not sure what these are on a shady footpath

The Kestrel was around again
Amazing to see it hovering in the strong wind
Almost high tide
Suddenly Jim spotted the Kestrel on the ground - lovely expression
Waves still rolling in
The Belladonna Lillies with the last few Crinum Lillies towering above them
I then went into Penzance to watch Gry Maritha enter Dry Dock for a repair to a seal  - out again on Monday am
While I was waiting I heard an engine roar and there was PZ36 Ajax heading out of the wet dock and round to Newlyn to get ice and then out to the fishing grounds
Gry slowly heading towards the gap

She turned around with the help of the little tug Danmark

Lots of tying down preparing for the water to leave

Think they spotted me
Thought that this was a lovely sight
Panorama of  the harbour

Back to damp and wet conditions today, I managed a quick walk when it was almost dry
 Merlin  from RNAS Culdrose
Sadly after this it just rained or we had mizzle, so no afternoon walkies
As I was out on the balcony checking if it was raining I spotted this
Assume it was some kind of exercise or  test for the boat

In he went

As you can see the sea has got very disturbed today

Off they went bouncing over the waves

Thursday a a trip to Liskeard via Cardinham Woods

As forecast the rain had finished and it was quite a bright and warmer morning
Wooster still not feeling like looking right over his wall
The Belladonna Lillies had survived the heavy rain

Some nice clean waves this morning
We stopped off at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin to give the dogs a run. Rather cold there so even Jim put his jacket on
The dogs enjoy this woodland walk
Had a lovely visit to see sister Pat and her husband - so good to see Pat now able to walk around the house without need of crutches - just needs to keep up the physio to get ready for a holiday in October
Never managed to get a photo of Wooster drinking before
It's a case of "do you drink much?"
"No, I spill most of it"
Nice to see so much lush greenery
Jim managing to collect Tilly, who tends to move too fast when going downhill and plays deaf when you call her !
We then met this handsome 7 month old Pointer -
not sure that Wooster was too impressed
Such a handsome boy
We were sad to hear that they never let him run free - always on a long lead - Oh dear !
We got home after a pitstop at the Services near Victoria and I went for my swim and sadly missed the sunset
Jim got this on his camera
and I took this when I got back upstairs
